**Job Description**
Within the Substance Use Prevention team at Jackson County Public Health, the Program Coordinator II provides direct oversight of Community Access programs, including harm reduction supply distribution and community education. The Program Coordinator II supervises Program and Policy Specialist staff engaged in harm reduction activities, providing strategic direction and performance support. This position leads day-to-day operations of harm reduction service delivery, including fixed-site activities and mobile outreach. The role oversees the Overdose Data to Action contract, including deliverable monitoring and reporting.
**What You’ll Do**
+ Coordinate and support daily program operations, activities, and events
+ Supervise and support staff as assigned, including coaching and team check-ins
+ Track program goals, deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements
+ Maintain accurate records, data, and documentation
+ Monitor program performance and help improve outcomes using data
+ Support community engagement, outreach events, and partnerships
+ Prepare reports for leadership, funders, and stakeholders
+ Assist with budgets, grants, and compliance requirements
+ Represent JCPH at community meetings, health fairs, and public events
+ Promote a collaborative, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed team culture
+ Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and public health standards
+ Be flexible—local travel and occasional evenings/weekends may be required
+ Support emergency response efforts when needed
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field **or** equivalent education plus 2 years of experience
+ Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
+ Comfortable with data entry, scheduling, and documentation
+ Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software
+ Experience working with diverse communities and cultures
+ Ability to present information to groups and solve problems logically
+ Ability to work independently with minimal direction
+ Valid driver’s eligibility
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Master’s degree in public health, health education/promotion, social work, or a related field
+ Knowledge of behavioral epidemiology and health education principles
