Your role will reflect our shared goal of enhancing health care delivery and building healthier, more vibrant communities. **About this Opportunity** Become a vital member of our Procurement team as the Procurement and Contract Specialist Team Lead, reporting to the Director of Procurement. In this senior-level position, you will lead complex and high-value procurement initiatives, focusing on areas such as print and mail services, translation solutions, and technology acquisitions. You will serve as a primary resource for market research, supplier negotiations, and vendor management collaboration, ensuring that procurement activities maximize value and comply with organizational standards. This role involves refining RFPs, supporting business owners in defining requirements, and driving strategic procurement outcomes. We are looking for a proactive professional who excels in a collaborative environment, is dedicated to optimizing procurement processes, and delivers exceptional results for our stakeholders. **What You'll Do** The Procurement and Contract Specialist Team Lead is a senior-level role responsible for leading complex, high-value procurement initiatives and providing expert guidance on contract management and sourcing strategy. This position serves as the primary resource for market research, supplier negotiations, and vendor management collaboration, ensuring that procurement activities deliver maximum value and compliance. The Team Lead reviews and refines RFPs, supports business owners in defining requirements, and drives strategic procurement outcomes across the organization. **Key Responsibilities:** Complex Sourcing & RFP Leadership + Lead the development and execution of complex, high-dollar Requests for Proposal (RFPs), including drafting, reviewing, and managing the full RFP lifecycle. + Ensure RFPs are complete, clear, and compliant, and assist business owners in defining requirements and evaluation criteria + Oversee supplier selection, negotiation, and contract award processes for major procurement initiatives. Market Research & Strategic Analysis + Conduct in-depth procurement market research and analysis to inform sourcing strategies and identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation. + Provide expert recommendations on supplier markets, trends, and risk factors. Vendor Management & Negotiation Strategy + Collaborate closely with the Vendor Management team to align on supplier relationships, performance, and compliance. + Assist with negotiation strategy for key contracts, leveraging market intelligence and best practices to achieve optimal terms. + Support the development and execution of procurement strategies that align with organizational goals. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration + Partner with business owners and internal stakeholders to understand needs, provide procurement expertise, and ensure successful project outcomes. + Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive strategic sourcing and contract management initiatives. RFP Review & Process Improvement + Review RFPs for completeness, language, and compliance, providing feedback and guidance to business owners and procurement staff. + Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, documentation, and compliance standards. + Other duties as assigned by leadership **.** **Skills and Experience** + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Public Health, or a related field (required; experience cannot substitute for degree). + Master’s degree in a relevant field may substitute for 3 years of required experience. + 7+ years of progressive experience in procurement, contract management, or strategic sourcing, with demonstrated success in leading complex, high-value RFPs. + Advanced knowledge of procurement market research, supplier negotiation, and contract strategy. + Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. + Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders. + Proficiency with procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite. **Preferred Skills:** + Experience with vendor management collaboration and negotiation strategy. + Expertise in reviewing and refining RFPs for large-scale procurement projects. + Familiarity with compliance frameworks and audit processes. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. **Worksite Designation** + Hybrid: Schenectady, NY, 3 days onsite through 09/01/2026, then 4 days onsite **Pay Transparency** MVP Health Care is committed to providing competitive employee compensation and benefits packages. The base pay range provided for this role reflects our good faith compensation estimate at the time of posting. MVP adheres to pay transparency nondiscrimination principles.
