This role supports day-to-day manufacturing operations by working as part of a production team responsible for packaging and assembling finished products. The position contributes directly to meeting customer demand by ensuring products are packaged accurately, efficiently, and safely.
The scope of this role includes operating within assigned production areas, supporting line operations, performing basic quality checks, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Employees in this role follow established procedures while learning production processes and safety expectations.
A typical day may include loading and unloading materials, packaging finished products, inspecting items for quality, assembling boxes or skids, rotating between tasks as needed, and collaborating with teammates and supervisors to meet production goals.
How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock:
Support daily production operations by packaging and assembling finished products according to established standards
Perform basic quality checks to help ensure products meet customer and company requirements
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to support overall plant safety and efficiency
Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures to reduce risk and prevent incidents
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules
Adapt to changing production needs, including task rotation and overtime when required
What You Need to Succeed:
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment
Ability to learn and follow safety rules, policies, and operating procedures
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
Ability to work overtime as needed during peak production periods
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
