Production Worker

Location: Chilliwack, BC

Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:30PM-3:00AM (Biweekly overtime on Fridays)

Wage: $22/hr + $1/hr afternoon premium

Job Description

Join a leading door manufacturer specializing in residential and architectural products. As a Production Worker in the Trim Department, you will play a crucial role in finishing products for one of our largest customers. The position involves handling products of various weights, feeding them into a trimming machine, and ensuring they are cut to the finished size before stacking them for the paint booth. This role offers an opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and contribute to high-quality door production.

ResponsibilitiesHandle products ranging in weight from 25 lbs to 125 lbs.Feed doors into a trimmer machine and adjust the machine as necessary.Ensure doors are cut to the correct size, requiring product knowledge.Stack finished products onto pallets for further processing.Essential SkillsAt least 6 months of experience in general labor, construction, or production environments.Experience with repetitive tasks and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.6+ months of experience using a tape measure and working with saws or hand and power tools.Reliable transportation.Additional Skills & QualificationsMachine operating experience is a plus.Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.Mechanically inclined.Willing to learn and a team player attitude.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will work in a custom wood manufacturing facility with approximately 80 to 100 employees, including 60 in assembly and production. The environment is dynamic and collaborative, focusing on producing high-quality products. The dress code requires long pants, long sleeve shirts, and safety gear, all provided. Safety equipment is provided, ensuring a secure and compliant work setting.
