**Job Title: Production Worker**
**Job Description**
As a Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing process. Your primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting mechanical or operational issues, verifying materials and dimensions, inspecting finished products, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will also be responsible for assembling doors, completing production paperwork, and communicating any production or quality concerns to supervisors.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform basic troubleshooting on mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtime.
+ Verify correct materials, dimensions, and machining tolerances prior to and during the production run.
+ Inspect finished doors for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet customer requirements and building code standards.
+ Build and assemble doors as required, including adding hardware and other components.
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization in manufacturing areas to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
+ Complete daily logs and production paperwork, accurately recording the quantity and type of doors produced.
+ Communicate any production or quality concerns to supervisors or other relevant team members in a timely manner.
+ Follow all safety requirements and protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
+ Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards and assist in corrective actions when necessary.
+ Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall production process.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3-6 months of manufacturing experience
+ Onsite Construction Experience
+ Carpentry
+ Residential Construction
+ Commercial Construction
+ Door Install
+ Dependability with a proven track record at former jobs
+ Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs. consistently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally
+ Enjoyment in performing laborious tasks and taking pride in craftsmanship
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience working in another wood shop or door shop (highly preferred)

**Work Environment**
The facility is the world's largest custom cabinetry shop, owning 65% of the west coast market share. It is a large manufacturing setting with stages of cabinet and door manufacturing, assembly, and shipping. Overhead cranes, forklifts, and trucks are constantly in motion. Due to the custom nature of the shop, there is a significant amount of sawdust throughout the facility. The shift runs from Monday to Friday, 6am-2:30pm, with occasional overtime. Physical demands include standing for 8-10 hours per day, lifting objects weighing up to 80 pounds, and using conveyance systems and rollers.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, Washington.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
