Production Worker
**Production Worker** **Job Description** As a Production Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the production process, from verifying materials and dimensions to inspecting finished doors for quality and accuracy. You will build and assemble doors, maintain cleanliness and organization in manufacturing areas, and accurately complete production paperwork. Your role will also involve communicating production or quality concerns, following safety protocols, and reporting equipment malfunctions. **Responsibilities** + Perform basic troubleshooting on mechanical or operational issues to minimize disruptions. + Verify correct materials, dimensions, and machining tolerances prior to and during the production run. + Inspect finished doors for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet customer requirements and building code standards. + Build and assemble doors as required, including adding hardware and other components. + Maintain cleanliness and organization in manufacturing areas to promote a safe and efficient work environment. + Complete daily logs and production paperwork, accurately recording the quantity and type of doors produced. + Communicate any production or quality concerns to supervisors or other relevant team members in a timely manner. + Follow all safety requirements and protocols to ensure a secure working environment. + Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards and assist in corrective actions when necessary. + Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall production process. **Essential Skills** + Mechanically inclined with 3-6 months of hand/power tool experience. + Ability to read a tape measure and work orders. + Dependability with a proven track record at former jobs. + Capacity to lift and maneuver 50 lbs. consistently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working in another wood shop or door shop (highly preferred). + On-site construction experience. + Enjoyment of laborious work and craftsmanship. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401K plan. There are overhead cranes, forklifts, and trucks moving around the facility consistently, with a significant amount of sawdust present due to custom work. You will be standing approximately 8-10 hours per day, 5 days a week, with the possibility of working 6 days a week based on business needs. The shift is Monday to Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm, with occasional overtime. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, Washington **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
