Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Worker to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will perform basic troubleshooting on mechanical or operational issues, verify correct materials, dimensions, and machining tolerances, and inspect finished products for accuracy and quality. This role involves building and assembling doors, maintaining cleanliness, completing daily logs, communicating production concerns, and following safety protocols.

ResponsibilitiesPerform basic troubleshooting on mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtime.Verify correct materials, dimensions, and machining tolerances prior to and during the production run.Inspect finished doors for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet customer requirements and building code standards.Build and assemble doors, including adding hardware and other components.Maintain cleanliness and organization in manufacturing areas to promote a safe and efficient work environment.Complete daily logs and production paperwork, accurately recording the quantity and type of doors produced.Communicate any production or quality concerns to supervisors or other relevant team members in a timely manner.Follow all safety requirements and protocols to ensure a secure working environment.Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards and assist in corrective actions when necessary.Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall production process.Essential SkillsMechanically inclined3-6 months of hand/power tool experienceSolid tenureAbility to read a tape measure and work ordersDependability with a proven track record at former jobsCapability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs. consistently, up to 100 lbs. occasionallyEnjoyment in performing laborious tasks and craftsmanshipAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience working in another wood shop or door shop (highly preferred)On-site construction experienceWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a large manufacturing setting, equipped with overhead cranes, forklifts, and trucks. The facility is busy and filled with sawdust due to the custom cabinetry production. The shift is Monday through Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm, with occasional overtime.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
