**Job Title: Utility Worker ($22-25/hr.) (All Shifts)** **Job Description** The Utility Worker plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes by supporting operators and maintaining order in the workspace. **_Employees will receive a $2.00/hr. increase after 4 months._** **_Apply Today_** **!** **Responsibilities** + Facilitate setup activities as requested by operators. + Assist operators in pulling heaters after stoppages. + Return pieces back on the line at line loaders. + Empty trash containers in designated areas. + Assist crane operators in hooking up and clearing pit jams. + Guide completed first ends from take-away conveyor to the rack. + Organize and stack wood safely in the steel buildings. + Maintain all bins and floors free of loose wood and debris. + Operate the pallet conveyor to position full skids without halting production. + Monitor for heat changes and inform operators to prevent mixing. + Verify pallets have a Green accept tag before loading into the coater. + Identify unsuitable material conditions and inform operators. + Run sonic reject pieces during downtime and at job completion. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years in a manufacturing environment. + 1+ years operating industrial forklifts. + Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with steel manufacturing. + Proficiency in using sit-down forklifts, micrometers, calipers, and gages. + Skills in general labor, loader operations, overhead crane use, assembly, inspection, and calibration. + Familiarity with production, repair, production line operations, hand tools, forklift operation, machine operation, and quality control. + Blueprint reading skills. **Why Work Here?** Join a historic company with over 100 years of experience in the automotive industry, known for producing components for major brands. Candidates must be open to working any shift, as shift assignments are determined by union regulations. Shift hours are 1st: 6:30am - 2:30pm, 2nd: 2:30pm - 10:30pm, and 3rd: 10:30pm - 6:30am, with additional pay for off shifts. Overtime is applicable after 8 hours of work. This role requires individuals who are ready to engage actively in a dynamic and demanding setting. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.22 - $24.22/hr.
