Production Technician III

This role is responsible for in the absence of the on-shift supervisor or manager, Production Technician III will be in charge of the shift, setting directions for all team members and assigning work as required. Participate fully in continuous improvement activities designed to drive an increase in safety, productivity, quality, cost, or morale.

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

Execution of all SAP tasks required to maintain a continuous, uninterrupted production process. This includes but is not limited to:

Receiving materials into the warehouseMovement of materials bin to bin, bin to PSA, PSA bring back, write out/write in of materialsKeying of mix and pack jobs accurately and without system errorsVerification of HU labels and closing of pack jobs to enable movement to a finished product bin or loading on truckBilling of full truckload of finished product & closing out of orders to allow shipment of product to 3PL locationPlacing products on hold, generating manual transfer orders, and reprinting HUs & SUs are requiredEnsure that all transactional issues are fully resolved within the shift. There should be no carryover issues that are passed on to the next shiftProvide feedback to associates as necessary when transactional mistakes are made. The goal of this role includes ensuring that all personnel on the shift are performing their transactions completely and accuratelyComplete a shift handoff with the outgoing Production Team Lead at the beginning of the shift and with the oncoming Production Team Lead at the end of the shift to ensure that full communication of status, issues, and actions are well understood

Position Details: 

Plant location: McDonough, GA Plant

Shift Offered: 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm

Compensation package offered: $26.50 per hour with some OT

Minimum Qualifications: 

High School diploma or GED

3 years of previous experience in a manufacturing plant or warehouse environment

3 years of experience using SAP/EBS

1 year of industrial production coaching

Ability to use basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of whole numbers, fractions, percentages, and decimals

Physical Requirements of Position: 

Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Experience completing training and mastering skills required by the position (e.g., Hazardous Material Safety and DOT training) 

Ability to understand and track safety, quality, and productivity data including run rates, fill weights, and averages

Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools 

Experience with Total Production Management (TPM) and Continuous Improvement Systems 

Industrial Production Coaching

Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team 

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment and resolve technical issues independently

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$26.50 ph Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
