**Job Title: Utility Worker** **Job Description** Utility Workers are responsible for learning to operate equipment associated with the extrusion and tube mill processes, while handling aluminum products. This role requires adherence to safety procedures and quality standards. **Responsibilities** + Train to operate, support, and move materials using lifting techniques and hoists. + Support Tube Mill operations, working different shifts than the extrusion department. + Ensure all quality objectives are met and assist in operating extrusion or casting equipment. + Report and review any unusual conditions with lead operators or supervisors. + Collaborate with team members and management to meet daily production goals. + Adhere to Union terms related to shift movement and flexibility. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical aptitude and machine operating experience. + Production or related experience in a manufacturing environment. + Ability to work all three shifts as the Tube Mill rotates. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting weights of 15-50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Forklift operation experience or willingness to learn. + Understanding of process flow of raw materials through production. + Interest and ability in cross-training. **Why Work Here?** Our company values integrity and a strong work ethic, creating a collaborative environment where great minds come together to deliver complex solutions. Employees may work long shifts, typically up to 10-12 hours a day, 6 days a week. The role involves working with grease, oil, and hydraulic fluids, and requires flexibility due to Union-dictated shift bidding. The facility is equipped with both new and older machinery, providing a diverse and dynamic work setting. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chesterfield, VA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.31 - $20.31/hr.
