Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and hard-working Production Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for various harvest activities such as preparation, sorting, drying, packaging, and palletizing. You will also be involved in return and rework activities, including inspecting bags of product for quality issues, pallets and boxes for damage, and re-stacking, wrapping, and packing outgoing product. This is a seasonal position, estimated to last 6-8 months, and could turn into a long-term opportunity for employees with excellent production and attendance.
Responsibilities
Perform harvest activities including preparation, sorting, drying, packaging, and palletizing.Inspect bags of product for quality issues and pallets and boxes for damage.Re-stack, wrap, and pack outgoing products.Engage in return and rework activities.Operate machinery for loading and bagging.Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas through sweeping, dusting, and washing.Essential Skills
Experience in shipping and receiving.Knowledge of warehouse operations.Ability to work on a production line.Skills in sorting and palletizing.Proficiency in machine loading and bagging.Forklift operation experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in packaging, production, or farming is preferred.Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime during peak season.Comfort with working indoors or outdoors regardless of weather.Willingness to work in various capacities including sorting, drying, machine operation, quality control, bagging/re-bagging, and cleaning.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The position is fully on-site in Tipton, IN and includes work in multiple non-temperature controlled warehouses and some outdoor activities. The work is physically demanding and requires wearing PPE such as a hard hat, safety vest, work gloves, and hearing protection, all provided at the worksite. Employees must wear steel or composite-toe shoes at all times. During peak season (September through March), flexibility with shifts and overtime are required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.50/hr.
