Job Description
The Production Technician role involves operating production tooling and equipment to achieve production and quality goals. The technician will assist in maintaining the integrity of the Business Operating System and alert management to situations that do not meet quality system requirements. Duties also include maintaining the integrity of tooling and equipment, dispositioning suspect assemblies, and promoting teamwork.
ResponsibilitiesOperate production tooling and equipment to meet production and quality goals.Maintain integrity of tooling and equipment.Disposition and move suspect assemblies or components to Non-Conforming or assembly rework area.Promote teamwork among fellow workers.Communicate effectively with direct supervision across all shifts.Complete all paperwork accurately associated with job assignments.Document all activities as required.Adhere to company guidelines for Emergency Evacuation to ensure employee safety.Advise Department Manager of situations posing risks to the program, product assurance, facilities, employee safety, or customer satisfaction.Initiate actions to prevent nonconformance relating to product, process, and systems.Identify and record problems relating to the product, process, or system.Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through appropriate channels and verify implementation.Control further processing and delivery of nonconforming products until resolved.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Good written and mathematical skills.Good communication and team-working skills.Color and/or appearance testing approval where applicable.Familiarity with quality specifications and documentation in an automotive environment is a plus.Additional Skills & QualificationsAutomotive industry experience is highly desirable.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is clean and non-climate controlled, equipped with large industrial fans. Employees are required to wear steel-toe footwear, safety vests, and glasses, adhering to the dress code which prohibits yoga pants. Cargo-style shorts are permitted. The use of cellphones is strictly prohibited on the production floor. Shift times are from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with flexibility required to work until 7:00 pm if necessary.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.35 - $16.35/hr.
