Production Technician
**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The primary responsibility of this role is to set up and operate machinery that blends, mixes, packages, or transports liquid or dry chemicals. The position aims to deliver the highest quality products at the lowest costs while adhering to customer specifications and delivery requirements. **Responsibilities** + Set up, start, and operate all machinery, ensuring compliance with operating and safety procedures as well as ISO standards. + Weigh ingredients to meet recipe specifications and insert them into machinery or ensure the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area. + Monitor production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation, troubleshooting any equipment and processing issues. + Operate machinery to mix, extrude, discharge, or handle materials according to operating procedures. + Examine materials visually or physically to ensure conformance with established standards. + Take samples of materials to the lab for evaluation and instructions on any batch adjustments if needed. + Refer issues or problems to the Production Lead or Production/Shift Supervisor for disposition. + Perform all required machine cleaning and complete all necessary system inputs and transactions to ensure data integrity. + Document work completed as required, including logs, data reports, and procedures. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in GMP and quality control processes. + Experience in shipping and receiving. + Competence in machine operation and production procedures. + Familiarity with warehouse systems, SAP, and production operations. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + At least one year of production experience in a manufacturing plant involving mixing, blending, batching, or production of powdered or liquid parts. + Valid driver's license and good driving record. + High school diploma, GED equivalency, or relevant experience. + Computer literacy. **Work Environment** The work environment is dynamic, with frequent exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, dust, fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level can be loud. The role requires physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. Employees must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds and be able to push or pull up to 200 lbs. with equipment aid.
