**Job Title: Production Technician** **Job Description** A paint manufacturing company is seeking a dedicated Production Technician to join their team. This role involves batch testing paint samples to ensure they meet quality standards during the manufacturing process. **Responsibilities** + Pull sample batches and tickets from production. + Verify density and viscosity of paint samples. + Apply samples to client-specified materials such as aluminum, steel, and exotic metals to check paint thickness. + Move samples to the oven for curing. + Document findings during the testing phase and adjust paint samples as needed to achieve the desired outcome. + Conduct physical testing after curing, including impact tests, resistance tests, and cross-hatch (scratching) tests. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment. + Experience as a test technician, quality control, or lab technician. + High school diploma or equivalent. + High attention to detail and a process-driven approach. + Knowledge in chemistry, paint manufacturing, viscosity testing, physical testing, and density testing. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Quality control and inspection skills. + Laboratory and production experience. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a 401(k) plan. The team is small, and everyone works fairly independently. The position is for a day shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
