Our client, a leading financial services provider, is seeking a Production / Technical Support (Plano) to join their team. As a Production / Technical Support, you will be part of the technical support department, ensuring seamless operations and issue resolution for critical applications. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Production / Technical Support (Plano)
**Location:** Plano, TX
**Pay Range:** Competitive
**What's the Job?**
+ Serve as a hands-on Subject Matter Expert and support issues resolution (Priority 1, 2, 3).
+ Assess and suggest process improvements, enhancements, and performance improvements.
+ Maintain documentation of issues and knowledge of business processes.
+ Provide application release and deployment support.
+ Identify root causes in the code, perform break-fix activities in the code and/or database.
**What's Needed?**
+ 5+ years of developing/supporting Mainframe-based applications.
+ 5+ years of developing batch using Job Control Language (JCL).
+ 5+ years of analyzing/developing COBOL programs.
+ 5+ years of experience with tools such as CA7, NDM/FTP, and File Manager.
+ Good communication skills, both written and oral, to interface with application developers, support teams, and management.
