**Job Title: Production Team Leader** Job Description As a Production Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in managing the molding team by studying staffing schedules and estimating machine assignments. You will interpret company policies to workers, enforce safety regulations, and ensure that all procedures are adhered to fairly and consistently. Your role involves interpreting specifications and job orders for a team of 10 to 12 workers in the molding department, and you will carry out responsibilities in line with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Your duties will include establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet production schedules and recommending measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality. Responsibilities + Study staffing schedules and estimate machine assignments. + Interpret company policies and enforce safety regulations. + Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, with fair and consistent actions for non-compliance. + Interpret specifications and job orders to assign duties to 10 to 12 workers in the molding department. + Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. + Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality. Essential Skills + Ability to operate a computer and printer. + Proficiency in using small tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pry bars, pliers, and calipers. + Capability to read and set various gauges and scales. + Ability to utilize a scanner for managing skids. + Strong language skills to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and present information effectively. + Mathematical skills for computing rates, ratios, percentages, and interpreting bar graphs. + Reasoning ability to apply commonsense understanding to execute instructions and handle standardized problems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in production management and supervision. + Team management skills, especially in molding operations. + Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control. + Familiarity with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles. + Supervisory skills and experience in leadership roles such as shift supervisor or department lead. Work Environment The role requires working the 2nd shift from 2:48 pm to 11 pm, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. The work environment includes regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a risk of electrical shock, as well as frequent exposure to vibration. Occasionally, you may work in high or precarious places and be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is typically moderate, and you will be required to stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to handle or feel, and perform physical activities such as bending, stooping, and kneeling.
