Job Purpose:
The role of the team lead is to help team members be successful at meeting safety requirements, quality levels, take time requirements and performance goals
Essential Responsibilities:
Support production team membersAssist in training new team membersPossesses ability to recommend line staffing to meet flow requirementsFills in for other team leads or team members (trained and capable of running all operations in the assigned area at minimum)Identifies quality, staffing, safety and production issuesOwns metrics for the given area and accountable for each operations metric accuracy and timeliness of the reportingPartners with the facilitator in implementation of changes needed to achieve future state value stream mapResponsible for generating and working continuous improvement ideas for everything related to their assigned areaParticipates in RIWs for their assigned area of responsibilityMonitors and audits PQVC metrics for the cell level in their areaAssists with creating, training and implementing standardized work processes and documentationCollects data and updates metric boards as neededParticipates in process improvement dialogues at the cell levelProvide technical assistance and/or coverage for breaks or attendance exceptionsRequired Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated proficiency in mathematical and analytical skills working with Microsoft excel, word, power point and accessStrong attendance recordAbility to maintain accurate and complete recordsDesired Qualifications:
Previous leadership experience in manufacturing or logistics operationDemonstrated lean manufacturing experienceWhat to Expect After Applying
