In this leadership role, you are an internal technical master at the line level who ensures the line team is performing at a level that sustains and improves business results . You model priority setting, manage the plan-do-check- adjust cycle and provide coaching and training for your team.
Your primary goal will be to achieve key performance targets in Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity, Delivery, Sustainability, and Morale (SQCDSM).
You will oversee a team of Production operators directly and technicians reporting indirectly in a unionized environment. Additionally, you will collaborate with operations, engineering, continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma, planning, and human resources teams to ensure the effective implementation of our manufacturing strategy on the floor.
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate exceptional people management skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to manage employee relations effectively in your area of the factory.
How you will contribute
You are a key ingredient in helping us change how the world snacks. You will operate and maintain equipment to build technical mastery and to deliver on safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets, understanding losses in your area and taking the appropriate action to eliminate them. You will use autonomous and progressive maintenance standards to maintain equipment and support new product development. In this role, you will ensure that safety processes are observed [e.g. safety maps, lock out tag out (LOTO) , behavior observation system (BOS) and root-cause analysis (RCA)], that quality assurance activities are performed to ensure zero harm and 100 percent good-quality products, and that resources are properly allocated and available during the shift. You will take the lead for shutdown maintenance, root-cause analysis, stops reductions loss analysis and breakdown elimination.
Serve as a role model by demonstrating company values and principles through effective coaching, mentoring, and team development within a unionized environment.
Trade Union representatives. Build and maintain strong relationships between management and unions at the local level.
What you will bring

Strong operational and manufacturing leadership experience in a traditional unionized environment within the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry (ideally food manufacturing), with expertise in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma tools.Excellent communication (verbal and written), coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment. Proven abilities in analytics, problem-solving, and team-building.Preferably an engineering or food science background, with strong financial and business acumen, project management skills, and knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.Maintaining equipment at basic conditions independently, including the execution of Autonomous Maintenance(AM) & Progressive Maintenance (PM) (break-down maintenance, planned maintenance) standards on dedicated equipmentTotal productive maintenance and Six Sigma including qualification of Leading line teamsHandling challenging interpersonal situations tactfullyInfluencing people in a union environmentCommunicating effectively verbally and in writing and good attention to detailMore about this role
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering or a business-related field.Experience:
