Job Description This role provides real‑time support for critical trading, pricing, and intraday risk systems used by front‑office teams. The engineer monitors platform health, resolves production issues as they arise, and serves as the first point of contact for users on the desk. They investigate and remediate system disruptions, coordinate with development and infrastructure teams, and ensure accurate communication during incidents. Additionally, they automate repetitive processes using Python or Shell scripts, oversee release and change activity, and contribute to incident and problem management efforts. The role also supports the transition to new monitoring tools, maintains documentation, and participates in an on‑call rotation to ensure full coverage. Skills and Requirements - 7+ years in financial production supporting Front Office (FO) trading desks, preferably FICC (Fixed Income Clearing Corporation) Applications or Risk Platforms  - Strong Linux/Unix and Shell scripting  - Python for automation  - Intermediate Oracle SQL/PLSQL (joins, grouping, stored procedures)  - Monitoring experience with ITRS Geneos, Splunk, Dynatrace  - Experience with Autosys & grid computing  - Major Incident / Problem / Change management  - Ability to lead incidents in a high-pressure environment - ITIL certification  - PV/Delta/Gamma knowledge  - Familiarity with yield curves & vol surfaces  - Confluence documentation Broader infrastructure exposure
