Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead and manage a team within our automotive manufacturing environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who is passionate about improving processes and achieving operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Start each day with a shift handoff meeting.Manage a team of 20-25 production employees.Learn and oversee all four positions on the production floor.Spend 80% of time on the production floor and 20% on computer-related tasks.Update employee time cards daily.Direct activities of team leads and production technicians to meet productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and safety targets.Enforce company policies and procedures.Act as the lead onsite contact in the absence of the Production Manager, reporting daily on plant KPIs, safety, and production.Ensure the proper management of the production facility through sound 5S programs.Develop, advise, train, support, and counsel subordinate group leaders and technicians.Implement tools and programs that streamline and simplify processes to increase department flexibility.Plan and monitor manpower requirements and department labor efficiencies.Lead in problem-solving and troubleshooting for production lines and develop recovery and action plans.Assist Management in overall planning, including capacity and new launches.Monitor personnel issues, absenteeism, tardiness, and accident frequency, ensuring appropriate action is taken.Collaborate with departments such as Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to improve processes, meet scrap targets, and address customer concerns.Create, develop, and maintain documentation used on the manufacturing floor.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Bowling Green, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
