**Job Title: Production Supervisor**
**Job Description**
As a Production Supervisor, you are responsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment. You will participate in the training, developing, and evaluating of hourly team members and lead the development of highly effective teams. You will support launch and pilot activities in assigned areas, meet or exceed production cost schedules, and maintain quality requirements. You will ensure the achievement of production schedules and product requirements through the application of lean manufacturing and synchronous principles.
**Responsibilities**
+ Supervise a medium/large team in supply chain or assembly operations within a vehicle manufacturing plant.
+ Ensure the proper training, development, and evaluation of hourly team members to promote highly effective teams.
+ Lead processes and serve as a resource supporting launch and pilot activities in assigned areas.
+ Maintain good working relationships and communicate effectively with employees, union representatives, and management.
+ Understand and consistently administer collective bargaining agreements and company policies.
+ Model cultural behaviors and demonstrate the highest level of integrity at all times.
+ Achieve Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost key performance indicators supporting production.
+ Cultivate a safety culture and implement workplace safety rules and policies, including ergonomics, health, and safety.
+ Complete administrative tasks such as timekeeping and maintaining departmental records and reports.
+ Meet production cost schedules by supporting production's ability to 'Build in Station.'
+ Maintain delivery methods for all operational material systems.
+ Utilize appropriate inventory controls and follow up.
+ Coordinate operational changes with Production.
+ Manage scrap appropriately and timely.
+ Identify opportunities for improvement using tools such as layered audits.
+ Resolve issues working cross-functionally to closure.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
+ Strong written and oral communication skills, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, with effective project planning in terms of resources, strategies, cost, and time.
+ High level of analytical ability for complex problems.
+ Knowledge of work measurement and work standards.
+ Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes.
+ Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related areas.
+ Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners.
+ Establishes a course of action to accomplish job and project completion.
+ Coordinates input from internal/external customers to better understand customer needs and perceptions.
+ Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Process (CIP).
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Proven trained (3-5 years) experience.
+ Experience in Automotive Manufacturing Plant as a supervisor preferred.
+ Continuous Improvement and safety skills are important for this role.
+ Experience in lean manufacturing, assembly, and safety procedures.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
