Oversee production to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Reduce the cost of quality by fostering an environment of accountability and pride in workmanship. Participate in and maintain improvement projects to enhance safety, improve quality, reduce the cost of non-conformance, adopt lean principles and processes, and promote customer satisfaction (internal and external). This is a Monday to Friday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM **Responsabilities** + Promote and enforce safety and environmental policies. + Embrace lean principles and 6S processes – machine utilization and assembly cycle time reduction. + Supervise assigned manufacturing operations to ensure tasks are completed in accordance with design drawings, process sheets, and/or work instructions. + Able to train assigned team members in process optimization and best manufacturing practices. + Reduce the cost of nonconformance by fostering an environment of accountability and pride. + Consistently and fairly apply and enforce work rules and attendance/tardiness policy. + Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production problems to minimize the impact on customer satisfaction and attainment of performance objectives. + Manage a high mix, small lot size, and engineered-to-order environment. **Requirements** + A demonstrated ability to drive performance improvements and cost savings. + 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or team leader role in a manufacturing or equivalent environment. + Strong proactive approach to safety, quality, delivery, and cost. + Ability to read component prints and routers. + Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques + Experience with problem-solving techniques that occur during the manufacturing/assembly processes + Innovative problem solver who is an action-oriented self-starter + Strong interpersonal, communication and conflict management skills **Preferred** + BS/BA degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education and experience. + Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification or demonstrated application of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. + 5S workplace order, value-stream mapping, takt-time flow, kanban pull, standard work, visual management, and relentless kaizen. + Supervisor experience in a Union atmosphere **Benefits Starting from Day 1:** + Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance (including FSA and HSA options) + Life Insurance + Supplemental Life, Child, Spousal, and AD&D Insurance + Short and Long Term Disability + Retirement Planning, 401(k) plan, & Financial Wellness Resources + Educational Assistance Program + Time off Policies (including sick leave, parental leave, and paid vacation) Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
