Job Title: Production SupervisorJob Description

As a Production Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in driving project success by clearly communicating expectations, planning and monitoring performance, and providing regular feedback through coaching, counseling, and corrective action when necessary. You will recruit, onboard, and train team members while fostering opportunities for professional development and personal growth. You will maintain efficient workflow by monitoring production processes, setting operational parameters, observing control points, and ensuring optimal use of personnel and equipment. Additionally, you will develop and implement cost-saving initiatives, reporting systems, and corrective actions to address process inefficiencies. Your role will involve executing production plans by scheduling and assigning tasks, setting priorities, tracking progress, resolving issues, and reporting shift outcomes, while upholding quality standards by enforcing organizational policies and procedures.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure equipment functionality by coordinating repairs and evaluating new technologies and tools.Compile and analyze production data to provide insights and respond to inquiries from stakeholders.Continuously improve operational systems by reviewing and updating procedures, documentation, and resource requirements.Promote a safe and clean work environment by educating staff on safety protocols and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.Address personnel concerns by investigating issues, identifying root causes, and recommending appropriate solutions.Contribute to team success by supporting cross-functional initiatives and completing related tasks as needed.Essential Skills3+ years of GMP supervisory experienceAbility to speak SpanishProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPointStrong written and verbal communication skillsWell-organized with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentationAdditional Skills & QualificationsFoods experience is a big plusExperience with raw ingredientsDemonstrated experience in food safety or quality control within a food manufacturing environmentSolid understanding of food safety standards and regulatory frameworks, including HACCP, GMP, FDA, and USDAFamiliarity with quality control testing methods and food safety regulationsSkilled in operating inspection and testing equipmentWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is exceptionally clean and smells delightful, reminiscent of a coffee and bakery shop. It is a GMP environment equipped with mostly gravity-fed high-speed packaging equipment, primarily handling dry goods like powders. The facility is well-lit with ample space and is looking to expand further. There are openings across various shifts, with potential for lots of overtime: first shift from 5:30am to 4:30pm, second shift from 4:00pm to 3:00am, and third shift from 10:00pm to 6:00am, Monday to Friday.

This is a Permanent position based out of Elgin, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
