Daikin Applied is seeking a talented and eager Production Supervisor. This role supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating variety of machines to manufacture parts or products. Location: In office, Staunton, VA.

What you will do:  

Monitor production activities to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedulesAssist in carrying out production objectives at the lowest cost, consistent with the organization's quality requirementsAssure safety and product quality while improving production proceduresCoordinate workflow with the various departments involvedReport damaged and defective equipment to managementTrain other employees in day-to-day proceduresMaintain quality/quantity standards regarding outputAnalyze work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needsInterpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns dutiesPlan flow of materials through department according to work ordersInterface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are metInspect and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specificationsDirect workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standardsEstablish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedulesDevelop, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of productSuggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crewAnalyze and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problemsMaintain time and production recordsAssist with capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle timesOther duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:  

High School diploma or equivalent5+ years of related experienceWork visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree in related field3+ years of direct supervisory experience

The typical salary for this position ranges from $66,000-$105,600 in Virginia. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
