Production Supervisor
**Job Title: Production Supervisor** **Job Description** The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading day-to-day production activities on the manufacturing floor to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and schedule attainment. This role is highly hands-on and floor-based, supervising production crews, monitoring line performance, enforcing food safety and quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Supervisor coaches and develops team members, resolves production issues in real-time, and ensures all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory food safety standards. The role works closely with the Production Manager and Plant Manager to execute production plans and achieve operational goals. **Responsibilities** + Execute daily production schedules and ensure production goals are met. + Prepare production paperwork and clearly document daily production results. + Work with the warehouse to ensure all components are available and at the appropriate production lines prior to the start of production. + Supervise production crew members, ensuring proper staffing and job assignments based on skill level and training needs. + Monitor line efficiency, product flow, waste report, and downtime; take corrective action as needed. + Spend approximately 90% of time on the production floor coaching, mentoring, and supporting team members. + Control time lost between jobs, breaks, and shift changes. + Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues on production and packaging equipment. + Make real-time, tactical decisions to keep production on schedule while maintaining quality standards. + Minimize waste of raw materials and finished goods. **Essential Skills** + Experience in production, supervision, and production management in a food production environment. + Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills. + Hands-on, floor-focused management style. + Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical and process issues. + Strong organizational and time-management skills. + Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. + Comfortable analyzing production data and identifying trends. + Clear oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. + Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems. + Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. + Embraces change with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement. + Self-motivated and dependable. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. + Ability to climb 5–15 ft vertical ladders. + Ability to frequently walk and stand on the production floor for 5–7 hours per shift. + Must be able to work different shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed. **Why Work Here?** This opportunity offers a dynamic and engaging work environment where you can develop your skills and grow professionally. The environment can be noisy, exceeding 85 dB, with hearing protection provided. The role requires adaptability to different shifts, including weekends and overtime. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Monroe, WA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
