Production Supervisor
**Job Title: Production Supervisor** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to lead a team of 30-50 employees within our production department. This role involves supervising and managing staff in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. You will be responsible for interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning and assigning work, conducting performance appraisals, as well as rewarding and disciplining employees. You will also address complaints and resolve problems effectively. **Responsibilities** + Analyze work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet internal and external needs. + Compute the amount of stock and supplies required for operations based on production schedules, and requisition materials from storage. + Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assign duties accordingly. + Plan the flow of materials through the department and develop the physical layout of machines according to work orders. + Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer deadlines are met. + Inspect and measure parts and products to verify conformance to specifications. + Direct workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which do not meet standards. + Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. + Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality. + Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency. + Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems. + Maintain time and production records. + Develop capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times. + Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials. + Perform other job-related duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or one to three years of related experience and/or training. + Experience in scheduling and performance management. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office. + 5+ years of manufacturing experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies. + Strong background in manufacturing supervision and process improvement. **Why Work Here?** Join a global company offering a competitive benefits package and a family-oriented management style. The role involves regular standing, walking, talking, and hearing, with occasional lifting or moving up to 50 pounds. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Virginia Beach, VA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
