We are seeking a dedicated 2nd shift Production Assistant Supervisor of Assembly to join our team. This role involves overseeing a team of approximately 15 people, managing schedules, monitoring performance, and engaging in project work with a focus on continuous improvement. You will conduct shift and safety meetings, handle reporting tasks, and perform some computer work in a supervisory capacity. Regular weekly meetings with Operations, HR, Quality, and Shipping are also part of this role.

ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage a team of approximately 15 assembly workers.Create and manage work schedules effectively.Monitor and evaluate team performance.Engage in project work aimed at continuous improvement.Conduct beginning and end of shift meetings, as well as safety meetings.Perform reporting tasks and some computer work.Work in a supervisory capacity alongside team members.Participate in weekly meetings with Operations, HR, Quality, and Shipping departments.Essential Skills5 years of experience in a lead or supervisory position.Strong background in production supervision and assembly.Expertise in lean manufacturing and process improvement.Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish, is a plus.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the plastics industry.Familiarity with Kaizen principles.A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.Certifications or a degree are advantageous.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The environment is within the plastics industry, and fluency in Spanish is beneficial due to the significant number of Spanish-speaking workers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $68000.00/yr.
