The Production Supervisor will oversee employees in production departments, focusing on training, motivation, and discipline. This role requires maintaining a professional and respectful work environment while ensuring confidentiality in supervisory and management matters.

ResponsibilitiesMentor, lead, and provide direction for employees.Recommend procedures, systems, equipment, and machinery alterations to reduce costs, resolve problems, ensure product quality, reduce scrap, and improve production efficiency.Initiate work orders for maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and vehicles.Audit hourly employee’s timecards for accuracy and update payroll electronic timecards.Administer and enforce company rules, regulations, and policies.Ensure compliance with safety programs and represent the company in first step grievance proceedings.Evaluate employee performance and establish goals and objectives for manufacturing techniques.Maintain established housekeeping standards.Control the handling and use of materials used in the production process, especially those known to be toxic and/or hazardous.Interface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.Inspect and measure parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.Direct workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products not meeting standards.Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsHigh School or Equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.2 or more years of supervisory experience in manufacturing preferred.Ability to read and understand production schedules and production cards.Proficiency in using a bar code reader.Ability to work independently, as a team, and interact with both internal and external customers.Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent time management, project coordination, and organizational skills.Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data for business decisions.Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, as well as calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust be 18 years or older due to work environment and labor laws.Strong team building and participation skills.Ability to teach and demonstrate oral and written communication skills.Capability to communicate with all levels of the organization and work in a team environment.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
