Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to maintain comprehensive knowledge of all roles within the department and ensure effective coordination of training for new team members. This position requires developing a plan for cross-training to enhance area and process coverage. As a key support figure, you will act as the first point of contact for team members, facilitating communication and support.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and conduct training for new team members to ensure effective onboarding.Develop a cross-training plan for team members to ensure comprehensive area and process coverage.Act as the primary point of contact for department team members, providing necessary support and communication.Facilitate department start-of-shift meetings, communicate SQDC messages, and set expectations.Plan department work assignments and assign daily tasks to team members.Establish priorities and sequences to ensure 100% on-time delivery to customers.Ensure each process sends only 100% conforming products to the next process to uphold TPS and minimize inventories.Manage the floor management system, including developing, communicating, and posting results.Ensure HAZMAT training and compliance in applicable areas.Support the development and execution of the area's functional action plan.Facilitate shift transitions with oncoming/offgoing area leaders.Step into production assignments as needed for absence or emergencies.Manage abnormal conditions by communicating, analyzing, and resolving issues.Lead the area in 4S+ and enforce compliance with established standards.Essential SkillsSupervision experience in a production environment.Lean manufacturing knowledge.Strong process improvement and problem-solving abilities.Production management experience.Ability to lead, coach, and hold others accountable.Additional Skills & QualificationsProduction supervision experience.Leadership and coaching mentality.Focus on continuous process improvement and problem-solving skills.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
