Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to join our quality department. This role involves rotating between 1st and 2nd shifts every three months and managing a team of 20–25 Quality Inspectors. You will be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring efficient production processes.
ResponsibilitiesOversee all hourly Quality Inspectors and manage a team of direct reports.Investigate and respond to quality issues in collaboration with the General Assembly team.Perform supervisory duties including vacation planning, team coordination, and safety incident prevention.Utilize knowledge of design techniques, production processes, and quality control to maximize effective manufacture and distribution.Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems.Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, resolving personal grievances.Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.Meet or exceed production cost schedules while maintaining quality standards.Communicate department quality goals and resolve quality issues.Implement systems to prevent recurrence of known issues.Promote safe work practices and support objectives related to ergonomics, health, safety, and housekeeping.Ensure team members receive adequate job training.Achieve production schedules and product requirements using lean manufacturing and synchronous principles.Essential SkillsExperience as a manufacturing supervisor or lead.Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design and maintenance.Familiarity with raw materials, production processes, and quality control techniques.Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Additional Skills & QualificationsManufacturing supervisor or lead experience preferred.Experience in a team lead role in quality is advantageous.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This role is based in the automotive assembly department. Candidates must be open to rotating between 1st and 2nd shifts every three months, with 1st shift running from 5:30 AM to 3 PM and 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 12 AM.

This is a Contract position based out of Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
