Job Description
This position is responsible for blending freeze-dried powdered probiotics and batching/processing liquid fermented probiotics. Additionally, the role involves various production tasks necessary for team support.
ResponsibilitiesObtain blend/packaging batch sheets to ensure correct organism carriers and proper equipment are prepared for the day.Verify blending documentation to ensure sample and testing requests are properly routed, labeled, and submitted to QA.Read and execute instructions for running production orders.Assist in inventory control from the production side, ensuring all weights and labels are accurately maintained when handling any container.Clean, sanitize, and perform assigned preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot equipment as necessary.Maintain the 'First In – First Out' practices within the department.Keep the facility clean to ensure it is always ready for tours.Pour pans and pull vacuum on freeze dryers.Clean and sterilize lyophilization pans, harvest and clean freeze dryers, and set up and load products onto freeze dryer shelves.Document parameters relevant to the freeze-drying process and freeze-dried products.Finalize freeze drier procedures by pulling vacuum and initiating the heating process.Prepare slurry evaluations.Take concentrated product samples in an aseptic manner and conduct and document pH readings.Assemble, disassemble, and clean centrifuge and harvest jumper lines.Harvest fermentation vessels, maintain yield volumes, and supervise the loading of freeze dryers.Maintain COP solution concentration and temperature.Assist in the preparation and packaging of finished goods on the Stick Pack line.Complete master batch records.Assist others when needed.Undertake other duties and special projects as required.Essential SkillsExperience in manufacturing processes, food manufacturing, or fermentation.GMP experience.Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.Ability to read, write, and converse in English.Experience in machine operating and production in a cleanroom environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in food production, grocery stores, bakeries, manufacturing, cannabis, operator, assembly line, or media prep is helpful.Ability to follow GMP, PPE, and company safety policies.Maintain good attendance and willingness to train.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
