Job Description
The role of the Production Shift Lead involves overseeing the production process, ensuring work orders are efficiently managed, and coordinating schedules to align with both internal and external demands. This position requires a hands-on approach in a heavy industrial environment, particularly within cement operations.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure proper safety and quality processes and procedures are followed during the assigned shift.Responsible for the oversight and direction of all employees during the assigned shift. Report shift performance (safety, quality, production output, waste) and report on shift performance to the management team. Monitor and prioritize production jobs to meet schedules.Troubleshoot and make decisions to respond to issues that occur during the shift. Coordinates maintenance needs and responds based on priority.Manages parts and supplies for the assigned shift.Inspect equipment, issuing requisitions for repair.Actively encourages improvement amongst the team. Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork for assigned staff. Handle the various HR and payroll activities as assigned, including timecard and time off approvals.Ensure ERP/SAP and other business transactions are executed properly. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
