Production Service Systems Administrator 3
**Job Description** The OCI AI/GPU Compute Host Management Group is responsible for the deployment of servers in new data center builds and plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of OCI’s cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for operating production environments—encompassing systems and databases—that support critical business operations. This role includes administration and analysis of multiple production environments, as well as recommending innovative solutions to enhance availability, performance, and supportability. This is an opportunity to leverage deep technical expertise alongside administration and analysis skills to provide escalation support for a wide range of complex problems in production environments, particularly those driven by rapid growth, scaling challenges, cloud adoption, high performance, and stringent availability requirements. **Responsibilities** Responsibilities include installing, monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all production server hardware and software. You will provide escalated technical support for complex issues, which may involve leading problem management cases and communicating status updates to management. This role requires coordinating escalated support cases by engaging appropriate internal technical resources and/or third-party vendors to achieve timely resolutions. You will also manage and coordinate the storage infrastructure for Oracle systems and database appliances. Additional responsibilities include supporting Oracle production environments through server operating system and application upgrades, applying bug fixes and patches, and leading standardization projects for both hardware and software across the Oracle technology stack. Ensuring consistent system uptime in a cloud environment is essential, as is providing on-call support on a rotating basis. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) + Proven experience administering and supporting production server environments, including hardware and software installation, monitoring, and optimization + Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical and infrastructure issues + Experience managing storage infrastructure and supporting Oracle systems and database appliances + Proficiency with server operating systems (Linux, Windows, or Unix) and familiarity with cloud-based environments + Knowledge of standard patching and upgrade procedures for operating systems and applications + Experience working with internal and external teams, including third-party vendors + Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical information to various stakeholders + Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to critical issues outside regular business hours Disclaimer: **Certain US customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates.** **Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only** US: Hiring Range in USD from $38.03 to $76.06 per hour; from: $79,100 to $158,200 per annum.
