Production Planning & Scheduling Coordinator

Reporting to the Site Planner, this role is responsible for production scheduling and raw material planning, ordering, tracking, and expediting across both locations. The position works Friday to Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and can be based out of either the Lethbridge or Taber facility. Develop and maintain site production schedules, including daily line schedules. Schedule production for both sites on Saturdays and Sundays, ensuring schedules are executable and aligned with operational capabilities. Ensure schedules support attainment of predetermined performance and attainment metrics. Proactively adjust schedules to address unforeseen conditions, delays, or changes in demand. Verify scheduled cases against attainment expectations and analyze performance variances. Ensure clear and timely communication with Manufacturing, Product Supply, and other cross-functional partners regarding production expectations and requirements. Raw Material Planning & Coordination Lead the ordering, tracking, expediting, and coordination of all raw materials required to support production. Own raw material ordering activities on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday. Analyze on-hand materials against current-week scheduled cases and take corrective action as required. Review on-hand inventory and inbound materials against future-week forecasts to mitigate supply risk. Validate inventory data between systems and monitor inventory levels to proactively manage fill-rate risk. Enter and track incoming raw materials throughout the week to ensure accuracy and visibility. Reporting & Collaboration Generate, compile, and analyze weekly reports related to production schedules, materials, and attainment. Maintain and update tracking tools and spreadsheets (Excel, Teams). Participate in HUB, Manufacturing, Product Supply Team, Westrock, and other meetings as required. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, scheduling, and material flow. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in a production scheduling, materials coordination, or similar role. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision. High level of organization, prioritization, and attention to detail. Ability to maintain a professional and composed demeanor in fast-paced or challenging situations. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams. Experience with SAP and/or Oracle is considered an asset. Experience in a manufacturing or production scheduling environment is considered an asset. Prior experience as a Packaging Machine Operator is considered an asset.
