Production Planner (Temporary)
Job Title: Production PlannerJob Description

This is a contract position estimated to last 12 weeks, designed to support daily operations as the onsite team becomes familiar with SAP. The role involves advanced planning, analysis, and coordination to achieve production targets while upholding high standards of quality and efficiency.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, resource availability, and production capacity. Ensure alignment with sales forecasts and inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts and excess inventory, while minimizing costs. Raw material ordering in some business units may be required.Coordinate with various departments, including procurement, manufacturing, and logistics, to optimize resource utilization. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and improve overall efficiency.Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Utilize statistical methods and forecasting techniques to predict future demand and optimize production plans.Communicate production schedules, priorities, and updates to stakeholders, including production teams, supervisors, and management. Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers, if required, to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices.Collaborate with operations and quality control teams to ensure that production plans meet the requirements to produce a quality product. Monitor on-hold items as needed to resolve in a timely manner.Leverage production planning software, ERP systems, and other tools to automate processes, streamline workflows, and facilitate data analysis.Maintain Master Data as required by team expectations, which may include code creation.Participate in project assignments, problem-solving projects, Kaizen events, etc.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, resource utilization, and inventory management. Analyze performance data to identify trends, deviations, and areas for improvement. Display ability to improve and positively affect change within the department.Essential Skills3+ years of production planning experienceExperience utilizing SAP or ERP systemsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tablesExperience coordinating production schedules with sales teams and end customersAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Global Shop ERP (training will be provided)Work Environment

This role is based in-office from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with no overtime required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
