OverviewA leading aerospace manufacturer specializing in advanced ice protection and temperature‑control technologies is seeking a Production Planner to support efficient material flow, accurate scheduling, and on‑time delivery. This role is central to coordinating manufacturing activity, optimizing production processes, and supporting cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & SchedulingDevelop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements.Analyze, prepare, and issue production work orders.Support capacity planning and resource allocation.Provide production status and lead‑time data to sales and management.Material CoordinationCoordinate material requirements through ERP/MRP systems, inventory levels, and Kanban signals.Issue purchase requisitions for required materials.Monitor work‑in‑progress and proactively address delays.Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.Cross‑Functional CollaborationWork closely with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.Support engineering development projects from design through production release.Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.Process & Data ManagementMaintain accurate records of production activity and inventory transactions.Analyze production processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and throughput.Ensure compliance with safety policies and standard operating procedures.Follow detailed written and verbal instructions in English.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree.5+ years of relevant experience in production planning, materials planning, or manufacturing scheduling.Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables required).Ability to read and understand production documents, computer reports, and procedure manuals.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.Preferred QualificationsAerospace manufacturing experience.Hands‑on production or shop‑floor experience.Experience supporting engineering development or prototype builds.Work Environment & BenefitsPrimarily desk‑based planning using ERP/MRP systems, with required time spent on the production floor to verify inventory and work order status.Merit‑based annual Christmas bonus.Collaborative, innovative environment with opportunities for professional growth.Culture centered on quality, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement.Job Type & Location
