Job Description: Production Planner
This position is a contract assignment currently estimated to be 12 weeks to support day to day operations while the onsite team familiarizes themselves with SAP. This position involves advanced planning, analysis, and coordination to meet production targets while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•\tProduction Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, resource availability, and production capacity. Ensure alignment with sales forecasts and inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.
•\tInventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts and excess inventory, while minimizing costs. Raw Material ordering in some “business units” may be required.
•\tResource Optimization: Coordinate with various departments, including procurement, manufacturing, and logistics, to optimize resource utilization. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and improve overall efficiency.
•\tData Analysis: Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Utilize statistical methods and forecasting techniques to predict future demand and optimize production plans.
•\tCommunication and Coordination: Communicate production schedules, priorities, and updates to stakeholders, including production teams, supervisors, and management. Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers (if required) to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
•\tContinuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices.
•\tQuality Assurance: Collaborate with operations and quality control teams to ensure that production plans meet the requirements to produce a quality product. Monitor on hold items as needed to resolve in a timely manner.
•\tTechnology Utilization: Leverage production planning software, ERP systems, and other tools to automate processes, streamline workflows, and facilitate data analysis.
•\tMaster Data: Master Data maintenance as required by team expectations. May include code creation.
•\tProjects: Project assignments, Problem Solving Projects, Kaizen Events, etc.
•\tMetrics: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, resource utilization, and inventory management. Analyze performance data to identify trends, deviations, and areas for improvement. Display ability to improve and positively affect change within department.

3+ years of production planning experience
Experience utilizing SAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.)

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
