Job Description
The Production Planner is responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources while meeting customer demand, delivery timelines, and quality standards. This role coordinates closely with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and sales to maintain smooth production flow and minimize downtime or shortages.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedulesAnalyze demand forecasts, sales orders, and inventory levels to plan productionCoordinate with procurement to ensure raw materials and components are availableMonitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address delays or changesOptimize capacity utilization, labor, and equipment efficiencyCommunicate production plans clearly to manufacturing and operations teamsTrack key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, lead times, and inventory levelsIdentify and resolve production bottlenecks or inefficienciesMaintain accurate production records and reports in MRP systemsSupport continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction effortsQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in management / Operation science, Math or related field (or equivalent degree) Strong in Math and scienceProven experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain operations will add advantageProficiency in MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle,) will add advantage Advanced Excel or data analysis skills will add advantageExperience in a manufacturing or production environment add advantageKnowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles add advantageFresh graduates are encourage to apply
