Job Title: Production Planner Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Planner to coordinate and manage production batches, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with various teams including Production, Customer Service, and Planning. This role involves overseeing the planning of both bulk and small pack orders, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring the timely delivery of customer orders.

ResponsibilitiesOrganize and deliver production batches to production after planning releases.Collaborate with planners on kosher batches and facilitate kosher stamping.Plan and confirm customer orders, coordinating with the production team and customer service.Update notes on process orders and customer orders regarding raw material estimated time of arrivals.Ensure master data is updated based on Minimum Order Quantities, Rounding Values, and other MRP data.Monitor inventory levels and order packaging for plant operations.Provide training and serve as a backup for other planners in production planning.Serve as a backup to process goods issue transactions.Essential SkillsProficiency in production planning and scheduling.Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP.Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.Knowledge of GMP principles.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or Associates Degree.Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in an operations environment, preferably in the flavor, fragrance, food ingredients, or related industries.APICS or NAPM (ISM) certification is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position is based in a food manufacturing facility where you will be required to wear a hairnet and beard-net. The environment varies in temperature depending on the product being stored, with some areas warm and others cold. The facility may have an aroma of breading and spices.

This is a Permanent position based out of Elyria, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $55000.00/yr.
