Job Title: Production Planner
Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Production Planner. In this role, you will play a crucial part in compiling and recording production data while preparing records and reports on production, consumption of raw materials, and other aspects of production.

ResponsibilitiesCompile and record production data from documents such as customer and manufacturing orders.Lead the implementation and training of scheduling tools within the business, including ERP systems like SAP.Calculate factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, scrap amounts, and work production rates.Manage and maintain records, files, and documents related to completed work.Manage material planning by opening manufacturing orders, releasing them to business units, and maintaining MRP parameters to support current and future demand planning.Prepare written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities.Verify and correct manufacturing transactions to close work orders.Issue stock requisitions as needed.Handle all cycle count-related issues.Ensure timely month-end and year-end reporting.Communicate customer order risks to customer service.Manage DSA for customers.Demonstrate the ability to work additional hours with short notice.Perform all other duties as assigned.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial settings.3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or production planning.3+ years of experience using ERP tools (SAP, Oracle, JDE, etc.).3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).Additional Skills & QualificationsExposure to ordering products from overseas suppliers.Positive attitude and effective communication skills.Ownership of workload, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.Willingness to support teammates and their workloads.Approachable, demonstrating partnership and teamwork.Respectful, professional, and reliable.Invested in team culture, displaying transparency and honesty.Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite, Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with flexibility to start or leave early by up to 60 minutes. You will work in a modern and professional office environment with a large office staff and multiple departments. The team structure includes a total of 8 people, with 4 specific to this role. The workspace features an open floor plan with cubicles, a three-sided desk, and stand-up desk options. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loves Park, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
