Production Planner
Job Title: Production Planner Shift:Mon to Fri7 AM to 3:30 PM, and occasional Saturdays

**Orientation occurs during the first three days from 8 AM to 4:30 PM starting on a Wednesday. Missing a day requires waiting a month for the next orientation.**


Job Description

The Production Planner is responsible for planning and forecasting production activities in a food manufacturing environment. The role involves coordinating order details between customer service, production, and shipping teams, and ensuring compliance with food safety and plant regulations.

ResponsibilitiesPlan and forecast production activities.Coordinate order details between customer service, production, and shipping teams.Follow food and employee safety rules in daily work.Schedule finished and semi-finished products.Release raw materials and packaging from approved suppliers.Ensure compliance with food safety and plant regulations.Organize short-term needs for Liquid, Packaging, and Molding lines.Manage rework projects and adjust schedules based on tank positions, chocolate reception, and customer demand.Control consumption area inventory and maintain safety stocks.Release and follow up on raw materials and packaging orders.Input and track non-conforming products in SAP.Manage and use MRP systems to streamline planning and procurement.Liaise with customer service, traffic, quality, and production to address changes.Communicate supplier issues and coordinate product returns with purchasing.Operate within regulatory requirements and report anomalies.Promote a safety-conscious environment for all team members.Essential Skills2+ years of production manufacturing experience in a food environment.Strong computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.Experience in planning scheduling, inventory management, MRP, and material planning.Additional Skills & QualificationsReport unsafe acts and conditions.Participate in mandatory training sessions.Commit to fulfilling the expectations of quality and service of clients, as well as current regulatory compliance applicable to the food industry.Report any potential or real danger to superiors and the Quality department.Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the area, tools, and equipment.Firmly follow GMP’s.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work within a large, fast-paced food manufacturing facility with where the environment is warm to hot, and adherence to GMP's is mandatory. Employees must be comfortable with strong smells, heat, and working on the floor and around the warehouse, in addition to computer work. Strict guidelines prohibit jewelry, glass, and nuts on site.


Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of American Canyon, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.50 - $39.50/hr.
