**Job Title: Production Planner** **Job Description** This position is responsible for managing the scheduling and timeliness of the production process to ensure deadlines are met and production downtime is minimized. The role involves maintaining the production schedule, inventory, and ordering tooling, plates, and supplies. Additionally, the position requires assistance in job creation, item creation, quoting, and purchasing as needed. **Responsibilities** + Effectively maintain the production schedule. + Provide customer-focused service. + Adapt to changes in the production shop order schedule driven by customer demand. + Review manufacturing orders to ensure all components are available. + Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock. + Coordinate with the supply chain to ensure required materials are available. + Enter manufacturing orders to meet customer demands. + Track the progress of production and identify potential bottlenecks or delays. + Participate in team projects and continuous process improvements. + Plan ahead to minimize downtime and control costs. + Identify potential errors or problems and take prompt corrective action. + Communicate effectively with managers, team members, and suppliers. + Provide solutions to departmental and company challenges. + Complete tasks and projects as assigned. + Correct and stop any dangerous activity that may cause damage to the product, process, personnel, and/or environment. **Essential Skills** + Schedule planning and production scheduling. + Inventory management and control. + Proficiency with SAP and ERP systems. + Logistics and material planning. + Microsoft Office and Excel skills. + Minimum of 6 months experience in production planning. + Minimum of 6 months experience with inventory. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with quoting and estimates preferred. + Customer service-driven approach. + Planning and purchasing skills. + High School diploma or equivalent. + Minimum of 2 years in the production process and job preparation. + Willingness to work overtime and display a positive attitude. **Why Work Here?** This is a direct placement opportunity that offers a stable and rewarding career path. **Work Environment** Work in a dynamic printing and production atmosphere.
