Production Planner
Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Production Planner to join their team. As a Production Planner, you will be part of the operations department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Production Planner **Location:** Bolton, CT **Pay Range:** $60-80,000/ year **What's the Job?** + Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders, forecasted demand, and inventory levels. + Ensure availability of raw materials, components, and finished goods through inventory management and timely ordering. + Coordinate with HR to ensure adequate staffing for production shifts. + Monitor production progress, identify delays, and make necessary adjustments. + Analyze production costs, reduce waste, and improve efficiency. **What's Needed?** + Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). + 2–3 years in a production planning role in manufacturing. + APS Certification required. + Proficiency in APS software and Felios (or similar tools). + Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel. **What's in it for me?** + 401(k) + Health, dental, and vision insurance + Life insurance + Paid Time Off (PTO) **Upon completion of waiting period associates are eligible for:** + Medical and Prescription Drug Plans + Dental Plan + Supplemental Life Insurance + Short Term Disability Insurance + 401(k) Our client is ALSO seeking a Purchasing Agent to join their team (These are separate positions) **Purchasing Agent – Job Description** **Position Summary:** The Purchasing Agent is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, components, and services required for manufacturing operations. This role ensures timely and cost-effective purchasing to support production schedules, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold quality standards. **Key Responsibilities:** + Procure materials, tools, and equipment for operations. + Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with suppliers. + Collaborate with engineering, production, and inventory teams. + Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues. + Issue purchase orders and track deliveries. + Maintain purchasing records in the ERP system (e.g., SAP, Epicor). + Identify alternate suppliers to reduce risk and lead times. + Ensure compliance with company and ISO standards. + Contribute to supply chain efficiency and continuous improvement. **Qualifications:** + Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). + 2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting. + Strong negotiation, organization, and vendor management skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems. + Familiarity with raw materials, machining, and mechanical components is a plus. **Work Environment:** + On-site manufacturing environment + Standard business hours; some shop floor interaction If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
