Production Operator (Etch)
**Job Title: Production Operator (Etch)** **Job Description** This Production Operator position involves operating multiple pieces of automated machinery to perform an etching processes for silicon wafer manufacturing. The role is set in a semi-cleanroom environment where specific personal protective equipment (PPE) and attire, such as safety glasses, gloves, hairnets, safety shoes, and a uniform, are required. Operators work 12-hour Shifts, 6am to 6pm for the Day Shift, or 6pm to 6am for the Night Shift, on a compressed workweek alternating 3-ON/4-OFF and 4-ON/3-OFF weekly schedules which require working every other weekend and will likely entail additional overtime days when needed. For night shift positions, training may need to take place on the day shift for the first few weeks/months potentially. Night shift employees receive additional 15% shift differential compensation incentive. **Responsibilities** + Operate and monitor automated machinery for silicon wafer manufacturing. + Follow complex procedures and complete documentation accurately and on time. + Ensure wafers are processed according to customer specifications. + Proactively address machine and quality issues or escalate to a supervisor when needed. + Monitor and verify data accuracy throughout the process. + Operate robotic equipment to load and unload wafers and tools. + Respond to and troubleshoot tool alarms. + Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area to meet standards. + Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling as required. + Cross-train into chemical etching processes, including potential respirator use. + Ensure all processes meet quality standards and report any issues promptly. + Adhere to all safety protocols and act as a safety role model. **Essential Skills** + Ability to follow detailed procedures and complete documentation. + Proficient in computer usage, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook. + Strong physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and standing for long periods. + Effective communication skills in English. + Basic math skills, including the ability to use calculators and software. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Prior production experience is preferred. + Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. + Experience in a similar manufacturing environment is advantageous. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy long-term stability with exceptional benefits, including low-cost insurance plans and eligibility for paid time off and holiday pay.
