As our business grows, we are seeking Production Operators to join our Manufacturing Operations in Port Melbourne on day, afternoon and night shifts on a full-time permanent basis. No previous experience is required, just a willingness to develop that will see you learn advanced manufacturing techniques in our world class facilities.

The components you will fabricate will be assembled to form part of the iconic Boeing aircrafts including the 737, 777 and 787 Dreamliner.

We will train you in the following:

Production of aircraft components using carbon fibre fabric and a variety of specialty toolsUnderstand and apply company quality assurance standardsFollowing work orders on computersUse of chemicals and pneumatic tools to prepare surfacesMaintain housekeeping standards within the workplaceSupport innovation and continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of the businessEnsure you work safely and exhibit the behaviour of a safety leader as part of our Incident & Injury Free cultureWe have a three-shift operation:

Day Shift: 6am – 2:30pm
Afternoon Shift: 2:30pm – 11pm (15% Salary loading)
Night Shift: 10pm – 6:30am (30% Salary loading)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

Reliable and willingness to undertake shift work is essentialAny previous experience using automated machinery is desirableAny previous experience in a quality control environment preferredA willingness to learn and develop your skillsLiteracy and numeracy skills to enable you to follow and interpret work instructionsCapable of hand forming carbon fibre fabric into aircraft structural partsAbility to work independently or part of a diverse team towards a common goal and to agreed deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAssertive, self-motivated and capable of working with initiativeComfortable working with your hands and standing for long periods of timeWilling to complete hands on, physical and repetitive workCommitment to OHS proceduresBasic computer skills

Additional Information:

This is an EBA position classified as an Aerospace Worker 1.  Starting salary: $84,322 + 12% Super and will increase to $91,985 + 12% Super upon successful completion of training. Candidates will be required to complete background checks and successfully complete a 3-month probationary period.
