Job Title: Production OperatorJob Description

This role involves working on the production floor where you will start as a machine assistant. The position requires standing for over 9 hours a day, collecting cardboard at the end of fast-paced machines that can produce up to 400 boxes per minute. You will be responsible for inspecting boxes with a tape measure, assisting in various areas, and maintaining a fast pace with constant movement and lifting. In times of low activity, self-motivation to find tasks such as sweeping is essential. Additionally, you will work in the baler room collecting excess materials from each station and organizing them accordingly.

ResponsibilitiesOperate machinery and assist in machine operations.Collect cardboard at the end of machines producing up to 400 boxes per minute.Inspect boxes using a tape measure with precision to the 1/8 of an inch.Assist in different areas as needed and maintain a high pace of work.Lift and move materials regularly, up to 50 lbs.Ensure excess materials are collected and organized in the baler room.Find tasks to complete during slower periods, such as sweeping.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years experience in production or machine operating.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.Proficiency in reading a tape measure to the 1/8 of an inch.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience running gluer machines is beneficial.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The position is on the 2nd shift from 2pm-10pm. The facility is not climate controlled but remains relatively clean, with comfortable temperatures in winter and warmer conditions in summer due to machinery. A dress code requiring steel toes, safety glasses, and hearing protection is enforced.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
