Production Operator
Job Title: Production OperatorJob Description

Join our team as a Production Operator in our state-of-the-art foundry brake facility. You will ensure all specifications are met while working at the end of the machine to conduct final inspections. This role involves inspecting each brake disc for defects such as flashes, scratches, dents, or chips, and performing spot checks with micrometers and calipers to maintain product quality. Once inspected, you will load the parts for delivery, ensuring each box is filled and labeled before it is taken away by a hilo driver.

ResponsibilitiesConduct final inspections on brake discs for flashes, scratches, dents, or chips.Perform spot checks with micrometers and calipers to verify product specifications.Ensure each inspected part is loaded for delivery and appropriately labeled.Maintain a production rate of inspecting and loading 25-30 parts per hour.Adapt to shift changes as needed, working on 2nd or 3rd shifts.
Essential Skills3+ years of manufacturing experience with proven job tenure.Experience in production or machine operation roles.Flexibility to work 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in machining and injection molding for core candidates.Foundry manufacturing experience for melt candidates.1+ year of blueprint reading experience.1+ year in the automotive industry.1+ year of experience working 2nd or 3rd shift.

Work Environment

Work in a newer facility opened in 2017, which is part of one of the largest suppliers of performance brakes and calipers. Although the foundry environment can be somewhat dirty, dark, and loud, it is equipped with advanced technology and systems for improved conditions. The role requires heavy lifting and operates in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency. Our customers include renowned automotive brands, ensuring a dynamic and exciting work atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Homer, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.13 - $23.13/hr.
