Job Title: Production Operator

Job Description

Cell Operators are responsible for overseeing the production cycle of rubber products for the automotive industry within their designated 'Cell'. This role involves repetitive, yet straightforward tasks, including the preparation and inspection of products using molding tools.

Responsibilities

Prepare the molding tool by filling slots with metal rings.Flip the prepared tool onto the machine for molding.Cool down the molded product using an air brush.Inspect finished products for defects such as air bubbles or rips.Document shift activities including maintenance, production goals, and product specifications.Conduct quality checks using a provided binder and, if necessary, a magnifying glass.

Essential Skills

Ability to lift 35lbs up to 30 times per hour.Capability to stand on feet for the entire shift.Strong attention to detail for quality inspections.Proficiency in reading and understanding English.Commitment to safety and adherence to quality standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to work safely and follow quality standards.Flexibility with shift hours and weekend work.Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for the role.

Work Environment

Operators work in a controlled environment with shifts that may vary. Breaks are provided during each shift, and smoking or tobacco use is prohibited on-site. Personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and Kevlar sleeves are provided. Operators can wear comfortable attire, including shorts and regular shoes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morristown, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
