Job Title: Production Manager
Job Description

We are seeking a Plating Manager to oversee a team of four platers on the 1st shift. The role involves coordinating with the Scheduling and Plating divisions to create daily and weekly production schedules. You will utilize computer skills to track production and quality, communicate with your team and other departments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives with a strong understanding of ISO EMS and 9001 QMS standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for training and coaching team members, as well as understanding business financials.

ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate activities of four platers on the 1st shift.Develop and manage daily and weekly production schedules in collaboration with Scheduling and Plating divisions.Utilize computer skills to track production and ensure quality standards are met.Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to facilitate smooth operations.Drive continuous improvement initiatives with a comprehensive understanding of ISO EMS and 9001 QMS.Train and coach team members to enhance their skills and performance.Understand and apply business financial principles to improve production efficiency.Essential SkillsPrevious experience in plating or food manufacturing with a solid understanding of step-by-step production processes.Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Microsoft software.Strong knowledge of production management, scheduling, and quality control.Experience in supervising and leading teams, ensuring safety and quality standards.Ability to create and implement work instructions in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in plating or chemical manufacturing is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The position is for the 1st shift, with working hours from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You will be responsible for training, development, scheduling, coaching, and achieving production targets alongside four other employees in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
