Job Title: Production Manager

Location: South Sacramento

Schedule: 4/10 - Monday - Thursday - (Friday OT as needed)

Pay: $45/hr - $63/hr

Job Description

Oversee daily structural steel shop operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. Manage teams including welders, fitters, machine operators, paint/clean crews, and shipping/receiving teams. Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously to meet tight production schedules and ensure on-time delivery. Interpret shop drawings and ensure compliance with AISC and AWS standards while partnering with engineering, quality control, and inspectors to resolve technical or production issues.

Responsibilities

Track labor, materials, and workflow to drive improvements in safety, quality, and productivity.Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously for timely production schedules and delivery.Interpret shop drawings and ensure compliance with AISC and AWS standards.Partner with engineering, QC, and inspectors to resolve technical or production issues.

Essential Skills

Production management and planning experience.Compliance with structural steel design standards.Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel fabrication processes.Detailed knowledge of AISC standards and AWS codes.Ability to interpret shop and structural drawings.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Projects, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.

Effective leadership qualities.Time management and problem-solving skills.Urgency and attention to detail.Experience with lean manufacturing and CAD software.Fixture design knowledge.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $62.50/hr.
